After graduation and gaining professional experience, Dr. Klickow achieved his doctorate in electrical engineering at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Hamburg. He subsequently qualified as a German Patent Attorney before gaining his licence as a European Patent Attorney. Since 1989, he has been Patent Attorney consultant to a wide variety of industrial clients on all questions of intellectual property rights. In line with his many years of consultancy work, he has also provided considerable support to the Patents Department of a medium-size packaging machine manufacturer.

In addition to International Patent and Trademark Law, Dr. Klickow is active in the areas of due diligence and patent portfolio analysis, and successfully develops patent strategies in consequence of his specific market knowledge in various fields.
